Although Maywood students currently attend Hackensack High School, this may not always be the case. Recently, the Maywood School District approved resolutions that would possibly send eighth grade graduates to Henry P. Becton Regional High School on Paterson Avenue in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This change is the result of the conclusion of the districts’ seven-year contract with Hackensack High School.

Maywood seeks to modernize their downtown area by adding in more trendy and popular restaurants and shops, while still preserving the quaintness of the borough. This serves to satisfy all age groups who live in the area.
